This page explains what information EvoBNE Atlas collects when you use this website, why we collect it, who helps us handle it, and how to reach us about it.

This website (https://www.evobne.com) is operated by the EvoBNE team, a computational protein discovery project. We have not yet established a separate legal entity for this website. Where this policy says "we" or "us" it means the operators of EvoBNE, and we will update this page when a legal entity is established.
We use your message only to read it and reply to you about evaluating a candidate or about EvoBNE. Where data protection law such as the GDPR applies, our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries you send us, and taking steps at your request before a possible agreement. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising. Usage statistics are used only to understand and improve the site.
We collect only what you choose to send us, plus the minimum technical data needed to run and protect the site.
If you use the contact form or the "Option for evaluation" form, we receive the name, email address, optional organization or affiliation, and message that you type. For the evaluation form we also receive which candidate you were viewing.
The forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated programs. Turnstile processes technical signals from your browser for this purpose and gives us a pass or fail result. We do not receive or store those signals.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It is designed to work without cookies and does not build personal profiles of visitors.
Our hosting and network provider (Cloudflare) processes standard connection data, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the site and defend it against abuse.
We use a small number of service providers, who process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Hosting, DNS and network security, Turnstile bot protection, Web Analytics, and forwarding of email sent to our public addresses.
Relays the messages you send through our forms to our inbox. FormSubmit states that it keeps form submissions for 30 days.
The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser requests font files from Google's servers and your IP address is visible to Google for that request.
We do not set cookies and we do not use advertising or cross-site tracking, so there is no cookie banner. The third-party services listed above may store limited technical data in your browser in order to work; we do not use any of it to track you.
Messages stay in our email inbox for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting discussion, and are then deleted. FormSubmit keeps its own copy for up to 30 days. Usage statistics are aggregated and contain no personal profile.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict our use of it, and to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, write to us by email at privacy@evobne.com.
